In 1973 nineteen year old Scott Halpin became the star of the night at the Who concert at the Cow Palace in San Francisco when he replaced an ailing Keith Moon on drums for the last three songs of the concert - Halpin got the gig when he responded to Roger Daltry's plea, "Is there a drummer in the house?" prior to Moon’s collapse on stage - young Halpins set clincher drew cheers from the 14,000 in the audience.
